Here is your chance to own an original MacKerer design at a fraction of the cost of new.

All original and all working, twin 427's -- 300 hp each, hard top, open salon, full galley, and two private staterooms provide room for family and friends. "The Chris Craft Commander line represents the first fiberglass cruiser series built by Chris Craft, commencing with the first 38' Express designed and built in secret, and shipped to the 1964 New York Boat Show under wraps for what was a truly stunning unveiling.

Fred Hudson, working in conjunction with Chris Craft's Senior Vice President, A.W. "Bill" MacKerer, designed the first 38' Commander Express.

In subsequent years there were many more models of the Commander penned by Dick Avery, all of which have nearly flawless proportion and great attention to detail.

The Commanders created a boating style of their own, flawless proportions, logical function, and the feeling of solid value.

When you saw one (and see one today) you immediately think "Chris Craft".

They are known by marine surveyors, collectors, and boating enthusiast's world-wide as "the standard" for fiberglass boat construction." This is by far the cleanest 1969 boat on the market.

I am the fourth owner of this beautiful vessel.

One owner for 40 years, formerly named "Andon" and kept on a hoist in a boathouse in Michigan a good majority of her life.

I bought it there and transported it to Lake of the Ozarks Missouri in June 2013.

The boat was completely original and is stunning to look at.

I have not renamed her, but she is a freshwater only vessel, and has never spent a winter in the water until this year.

The vessel is wonderful but I am forced to sell.

Currently she is stored at a marina at The Lake of the Ozark.

All maintenance records, original books, invoice sheets and checklist from factory, and several other manual are available.

This boat is a must see!!

On deck we start with a roomy foredeck with stainless steel bow rail, forward lounge with canvas cover, wrap around main deck, and access to the teak swim platform.

The forward deck has room for relaxing, and sunning.

The aft deck is covered by the huge hard top and provides seating, storage and entertaining space.

Below we have an open salon with casual seating, with fold out table in the galley.

The galley is forward and down with full-size refrigerator, wood cabinets, countertops, stainless steel sink, two-burner electric range with oven, ice maker, all original and in working condition.

There are two private staterooms at opposite ends of the vessel.

The master aft cabin has twin berths, hanging locker, and en suite head and shower compartment.

The forward cabin has v-berth and separate guest/day head.

This Chris Craft Commander is all original and is in very good shape.

The vessel was designed for long-lasting, dependable, and economical performance.

This 42' motor yacht has been well maintained and is ready to cruise.
