Description:
I have a 1968 Boston Whaler Eastport model 17 ft length for sale.
In Fall of 2014, she won 3rd place in the Classic non wood category at the Antique and Classic Boat Society, Barnegat Bay Chapter‘s 31st Annual Boat Show in Point Pleasant NJ.
I bought the boat in 1997 and spent two winters building all new custom woodwork out of 180 board feet of mahogany, it’s all made out of ¾” thick solid Brazillian mahogany, no plywood!
The custom center console, captains bench and rear bench (both with storage cabinets underneath) have 7 layers of skipper varnish on the woodwork, she is garage kept on Kent Island on the Eastern shore of Maryland.
She has been all over the Chesapeake Bay fishing for rock fish etc...
She has been faithfully cleaned after every use to keep the finish looking good. 15 years on the finish without any rework and no signs of needing any time soon.
She has a 2002 90 hp Mercury 2 stroke with automatic oil injection so no need to mix the oil into the fuel.
The 16 gallon stainless fuel tank is installed under the center console and holds enough fuel to run wide open all weekend.
The hull was painted with a two part Emron epoxy paint both inside and out, new rub rail was installed, new drain tubes put in.
Both the insulation between the hulls and the transom are dry.
She comes with an igloo cooler with seat cushion infront of the center console, Eagle GPS/fish finder, a depth sounder, vhf radio, swim platform and mount for a kicker or trolling motor.
The running lights and all the gauges and electrical is in working order.
She comes with a roller bunk trailer that is in good condition, working lights, 4 pin flat connector, Just inspected and repacked the bearings, comes with a spare tire and mount.
